The freedom tour supports the efforts of the legions of brave men and women who put their lives on the line fighting for the freedoms of the generations to come. The struggle for rights and freedoms requires constant effort,--this tour is designed to be a peaceful contributor to that cause.
The freedom tour is a Hemp Based Roller Blading Pilgrimage, designed to educate and bring awareness to issues about freedom and what the role of public servants is supposed to be. Also we want to expose the dangers and costs associated with the prohibition of drugs, which serves to increase the abuse of drugs and cause disrespect towards our justice system.

I'm pretty much done doing my thing in Kenora. I've visited city hall, the local college, the police station and court house where I hung a bunch of info on the bulletin boards and gave out L.E.A.P.literature, did a brief interview and photo shoot with the local paper, visited and left info at the federal M.P.s constituency office, as well as having had a number of good conversations with some of the local people. I also received a nice supportive email from the royal Canadian legion, central command directing me to get in touch with western Ontario / Manitoba provincial command. I have now done that and have sent them a fair bit of relevant info. I will be moving on to Thunderbay soon, and could still use any assistance and support I can get. There is just over 2 weeks to go until Nov.11, any one who can be in Ottawa for remembrance day to lend their support would be welcomed. I can be contacted at freedomtour06@hotmail.comPost October 22 / 2006
The freedomtour has passed into Ontario. I was brought here by a supporter (Mike) whom I met in Winnipeg, who owns a trucking company among other things.I rode in (and got to drive a bit) a new emerald green Mac semi c/w sleeper an awesome ride. Have already met some good people here in Kenora, and will stay here till midweek. It is very cold but there's very little snow so far, so I'm getting in as much skating as I can (I'm fast becoming known in town). I'm looking for support in Thunderbay next so if you know someone who would be interested in assisting please let me know, freedomtour06@hotmail.comPost October 19 / 2006
The snow is again falling in the"peg". I visited the mayors office, he was out on the election trail, so I had a meeting with two of his assistants. We went over the info pack and had a nice discussion. Then it was off to the police station, where the cop at the desk asked me this and that about my mission and my L.E.A.P. hand outs, I told him it was about ending the war on drugs that results in the disrespect of police and governments, and the danger to law enforcement from organized gangs. He said "so your on our side" I assured him I was. He took me to the chiefs office where I had a brief chat with his assistant and left her the handouts. I also went and signed in at the #1 legion branch where I was well received and discussed the ongoing situation re: Rick Simpson's healing hemp oil. I'm leaving here in the morning with a green semi-trailer truck taking me to Kenora (how cool is that) owned by a very supportive gentleman, who wants to help out. I have met a large # of good people here. My only shortfall has been a lack of media, otherwise its been a successful stay and I have some good contacts excited about the tour next year.Post October 18 / 2006
Things are going well here in Winnipeg, the weathers o.k. and I'm loving the smooth concrete streets. Almost all of the sidewalks are fairly new, so the skating is enjoyable(unlike Brandon). I visited the legislature and had a few good talks with people there, but the house is not in session so I didn't meet anyone of significance. Spent a few hours on the university campus posting my info sheets on the numerous bulletin boards and chatting with students and faculty.dropped into the CBC and was interviewed for a radio show. The interviewer was quite interested in the tour and wants to talk more with me on some later dates. She also asked to try some hemp hearts and said they tasted great, asked where she could buy some and was surprised to hear that they are available in health food stores.(I left her my info packs). I also visited the Kustom kulture shop and was warmly received by Gary and his staff. I'm enjoying my time here and should be heading east by Saturday (still looking for connections in Kenora).Post October 14 / 2006
The weather has changed here, the skies are blue and the snow is (for the most part) gone. Getting to know the lay of the land here and I've made a few contacts. I will stay for another 4or5 days handing out the info and chatting with the people in key positions. I am needing contacts in Kenora Ont. who would put me up (or put up with me) late next week. (I always look after my own food etc., pay for gas and generally leave a place cleaner and better than I find it). Money makes the tour go round, so tomorrow I'm installing a window for Johnny B. from the Hemp Rock Cafe.Got to do what I've got to do. May as well put my carpentry skills to work if it allows the tour to go forward. Ottawa (for the media) by remembrance day, raising awareness on the way is the goal. The roads in the"Peg" are better than expected. I've got some skating done here and I'm looking forward to more if the weather holds. Still on a shoelace budget, on a wing and a prayer, but very determined to see it thru. So again, if any one knows people who would like to assist this valuable awareness project, please contact me at freedomtour96@hotmail.comPost October 11 / 2006
Pleased to say that I've now arrived in Winterpeg. The snow is coming down and it may not be possible to skate here for a while. I'm staying with Chris Buors and I've already learned a lot from him, we've had some very interesting discussions already. Besides the info I've shared with others on this trip, I am learning a great deal myself (even about computers and forums). Today I spent some time at the Hemp Rock Cafe and visited a few other hemp friendly stores. Not many activists in the"Peg",Chris refers to this as the bible belt of Canada. Still not secure financially but with 30 days till remembrance day, I'm confident I can find a way to keep going. My friend who was coming from Vancouver was not able to make it after all, so I'm still on my own. I apologize anyone who may have tried to contribute to the incorrect address on the freedomtour.ca site. I'm working to have it changed (could be why there's been no mail?). They say the weather could improve here (in the land of mandatory drug testing,in the workplace) and it may improve in Ontario. It'll be what it will be, so be it.Note: Address below is the correct address now! (October 12 / 2006)

Brandon is becoming memorable, due to the amount of time I'm spending here. Becoming quite familiar with the lay of the land and the people. I'm sure they will remember me, due to the layers of awareness, that I've been able to apply. Yesterday was all about the chalk.--HEMP?--- on many street corner sidewalks. At the entrance to the courthouse (on the sidewalk,at the base of the stairs)
------NO VICTIM NO CRIME!---
And on the risers of the side entrance staircase(the main st.)
----------NO VICTIM NO CRIME!--------
----------NO DAMAGE NO CRIME!--------
----------NO INTENT NO CRIME!--------
All in all --there's a buzz in this town Should be leaving here on Monday. We must be closing in on critical mass-keep spreading the truth.

Presently stuck in Brandon(been here for 11 days)waiting for a friend from Vancover to pick me up and escort me the rest of the way (he was supposed to be here today) just talked to him, glitches mean he might be able to leave on Thursday. So I'm still here until Saturday at least. I have so far been unable to find someone in Winnipeg with a couch that I could use (know anyone?). Yesterday I did an interview with the Brandon Sun, had talks with key people in Manitobans provincial building here (human rights, education and justice depts.) and spent the rest of the day back at the local university. We hope to see you on the next leg of our pilgrimage as the tour proceeds through Manitoba.
FreedomTour06 is the effort and dream come true of it's members and supporters.
We continue to invite compassionate, progressive and environmentally conscious corporations and individuals to partner with us as we embark on a most important endeavor. Our hemp-based, rollerblading pilgrimage is dedicated to revealing and ending the harms of drug prohibition, restoring our civil liberties and ensuring a future rich in renewable resources for generations to come.
The Freedom Tour will travel cross-country and end in Ottawa on November 12, 2006. We hope it will build momentum and we certainly feel the support. We imagine a caravan of entertainers, ducumentary filmmakers and articulate, outspoken advocates of law reform and social justice traveling from town to town hosting rallies, forums and educational dabates, activley voicing as a human beings, the intrusion against our common civil liberty in the form of prohibition and the war on drugs.
Prohibition hurts everyone. We are taking this message to Parliament Hill and we will be heard !In order to finance our journey, we are continuing to seek sponsorships from companies whose logos, message and merchandise will be featured on this tour across Canada. We currently have a couple copanies who have come forth with sponsorship and we intend to have all the details updated soon. Don't forget to bookmark our page to keep up with the events of the tour!
We have a limited number of sponsorship spots avaliable due to a finite amount of time and advertising space. If you would like to help sponsor this historic event please act quickly! We greatly appreciate any contribution you would be willing to make. All contributions will go to finance the Freedom Tour and to the case of reclaiming our basic civil liberties.
We are also searching for members of the hemp industry who are willing to supply us with earth-friendly merchandise to include in our sponsorship kits. In return, we will promote and sell your products along our pilgrimage route. If monetary compensation is necessary, we may be able to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. Please consider this valuable opportunity to market your company across the country.
Additionally we are seeking submissions from artist, entertainers and other members of the artistic communities about how illicit drugs have affected their creative processes. Tell us all about it: the good, the bad and the ugly! Even if you cannot provide us with this kind of information, please consider taking a moment of your time writing a short note stating who you are, why you believe this tour is important and why this needs to be successful. Thank you for your time and consideration.

The DEFINITION OF FREEDOM:
In the context of the Charter and the relationship betweeen Section 7 and Section 1 thereof, this test appears to have been continued. In this regard, see the words of Dickson J. as he was then in R. v. BIG M Drug Mart Ltd. 1986, (3d) 385 at pp. 417-418:
Freedom can primarily be characterized by absence of coercion or constraint. If a person is compelled by the state or will of another to a course of action or inaction which he would not otherwise have chosen, he is not acting of his own volition then he cannot be said to be truly free. One of the major purposes of the Charter is to protect within reason, from compulsion or restraint. Coercion includes not only such latent forms of compulsions as commands to act or refrain from acting on pain of sanction, coercion included indirect forms of control which determine or limit alternative courses of conduct available to others. Freedom in the broad sense embraces both the absense of coercion and constraint, and the right to manifest beliefs and practices. Freedom means that, subject to such limitations as are necessary to protect public safety, order, health, morals or the fundamental rights and freedoms of others, no one is to be forced to act in a way contrary to his beliefs or his conscience.
